Dear Freddie,

I believe that Fletchers Family Food Factories is fantastic for our school.

Building a factory on our courts would be great because they will give us a contest to create a new playground for Room 4 and 5. We don't need to pay for it. It will have a wooden castle, slides, bridges and other obstacles. Without the playground, we wouldn't exercise and we wouldn't lose weight. Do you want to design the new playground? Designing the playground is awesome, playing in the playground is fun, playing in the playground makes us fit.

Another reason why building a factory on our courts is great because they will give us CCTV. Without CCTV, thieves will steal our things. CCTV is a security camera that has a TV to see if thieves are about to steal our school property. Would you want your things to be stolen? You would be sad and you'll get told off from the teacher. CCTV is cool, CCTV is great, CCTV is the best camera ever!

The final reason why building a factory on the top court is great because there is going to be light traffic.  There is going to be less cars which makes less smoke and less noise. There is going to be a small car park replacing the old playground replacing the bottom court. Would you like the noise level the heavy traffic makes? It will distract your learning your playtime, and your other important learning.  Less cars, less smoke, less noise.

If we have a factory, we can have a new park for Room 4 and 5, we can have the best security camera and there is going to be less traffic. Fletchers Family Food Factories is fantastic on our courts.

Yours Faithfully,
Greshka

My Structure-tastic Persuasive Writing

WALT put a persuasive text in structure. A structure is something put in order. A structure of a persuasive writing is when you have a thesis at the start. There are three main reasons with evidence and facts. We have evidence and facts to support the three main reasons. Then we finish with a conclusion. My Estimate-a-lous Maths

WALT create our own estimations, measure them, then compare them. I know I have created my own estimations when I have estimated the number of non-standard things that can fit inside the shape. Here are some pictures of my estimations.

In this photo, I estimated that 8 shoes could fit in the newspaper, and I was correct. My classmates also estimated that 8 could fit.

In this photo, I estimated that 10 counters could fit in the shape, and I was wrong. Only 6 counters could fit in the shape. Kolio also had the same estimation as me and he was wrong too. He got 11 counters that can fit in his shape.

In this photo, I estimated that 20 books can fit in the mat, and I was wrong again. Over 100 books can fit the mat. My classmates estimated 40, 100, and 500.

Our Oblong-some Non-Standard Unit of Measure

WALT use non-standard measures to find the area of a shape. A non-standard unit of measure is something you can use measure the area, but it can be different shapes and sizes. Mrs Richardson told us to draw our own shapes in the playground with chalk.  We drew the shape, then we estimated that 4 students will be able to sit in it, and we were correct. I know when I have used non-standard measures to find the area by estimating it. These are the pictures we took of the chalk and when we were inside:

In this photo we made and made an estimation of how many people could fit sitting inside the shape. We were trying to find out the area of our shape using our bodies. This is a non standard unit of measure. A non standard unit of measure is something that you can use to measure something, but it is a different shapes and sizes.

We were right! We estimated that 4 students could fit
in the area  of our shape.
